Law Library remains open for a maximum three hour stay per visit. While we have suspended face-to-face services contact Library staff online or by phone 9am to 6pm weekdays.
Law Library is located in Kensington within the Law Building and offers access to a wide range of materials, both print and online in the field of law and legal studies. After hours entrance can be found on Union Road near the after hours return chute, opposite Science and Engineering building.
UNSW Library is open to UNSW students & staff and UNSW Library members (UNSW alumni, NIDA staff & students, ULANZ and community borrowers). You will need to tap your UNSW ID or Library membership card at the Help Zone and sign in by scanning the QR code. At this time UNSW Library spaces and collections are not accessible by any other visitors. To protect our community, practice physical distancing and use hand sanitiser, antibacterial spray and wipes readily available throughout the Library. Please wear a mask while in the Library.

Borrow and return items
If possible please do not return items while the stay at home orders are in place.
You can borrow items using the self-check machines located near the Help Zone on Ground Level. When returning loans, use the self-check machine and place items in the return chute located in the Library Help Zone. The after hours return chute is located outside the Library on Union Road.
High Use Collection
The High Use Collection is located in the entrance lounge, near the Help Zone. Short loans and requested items are located here. Borrow and return short loan items using the self-check machine in the High Use Collection room. Late return of these items will incur fines.
To support requirements for physical distancing and COVID Safe measures, we have temporarily closed study rooms and collaborative areas. Loans for headphones, VGA and HDMI cables have been temporarily suspended.
Study booths are on Level 1. Study rooms are on Ground Level and Level 1. Most rooms are equipped with LCD screens and/or whiteboards. Check individual room details for current capacity, specific furniture and equipment availability.
Computers are available throughout the Library. UNSW students can borrow laptops from a self-service loan locker next to the lift on Ground Level or Book a space to reserve a desktop computer on Level 1.
For UNSW student and staff Wi-Fi access, UNSW Wireless Network (UniWide) is available throughout the Library for use with personal devices. University visitors may use their personal device to access the UNSW guest Wi-Fi service.
Help phones are located in the Print/Copy areas for print copy scan enquiries. Further assistance is available at the Print/Copy Services desk at Level 2 Main Library. Print/copy/scanners are available throughout the Library at the Print/Copy stations.
Add credit to your UNSW ID card at the Print/Copy station Ground Level, any campus recharge kiosk, the Print/Copy Services desk on Level 2 in Main Library or students can pay online. See UNSW IT Printing for students for charges.
