Paddington Library

Paddington Library is open with limited hours. Access campus via Greens Road near the after hours return chute. You can contact Library staff online or by phone 9am to 6pm weekdays.

UNSW Paddington Library is located in Paddington Art & Design campus and offers access to a wide range of materials, both print and online in the field of art, design and media arts. See UNSW Paddington Library collection range for more information.

UNSW Library is open to current UNSW students & staff and UNSW Library members (UNSW alumni, NIDA staff & students, ULANZ and community borrowers). You will need to tap your UNSW ID or show your Library membership card at the entrance, sign in by scanning the QR code and show evidence of your vaccination status. At this time, UNSW Library spaces and collections are not accessible by any other visitors. To protect our community, practice physical distancing and use hand sanitiser, antibacterial spray and wipes available throughout the library. Please wear a mask while in the Library.

Help Zone

The Help Zone is located on the Ground Level. Visit us during staffed hours for assistance with your enquiries.

Borrow and return

If possible please do not return items.

You can borrow/return items using the self-check machine and return loans via the return chute located near the Help Zone. The after hours return chute is open 24hrs a day and located at Gate 1 on Greens Road.

High Use Collection

The High Use Collection area is located on the Ground Level. Borrow and return items using the self-check machine at the Help Zone. Late return of these items will incur fines.

Multimedia area

To support requirements for physical distancing and COVID Safe measures, we have temporarily closed many collaborative areas. Loans for headphones, VGA and HDMI cables have been temporarily suspended.

Collaborative study tables are available in the multimedia area on the Mezzanine Level along with whiteboards, LCD screens and DVD/video players.

Computers are available throughout the Library. UNSW students can Book a space to reserve a desktop computer on Level 1.

For UNSW student and staff Wi-Fi access, UNSW Wireless Network (UniWide) is available throughout the Library for use with personal devices. University visitors may use their personal device to access the UNSW guest Wi-Fi service.

Print/Copy services

Help phones are located at the Print/Copy stations for print copy scan enquiries. Further assistance is available at the Help Zone. Print/copy/scanners are available throughout the Library at the Print/Copy stations.

Add credit to your UNSW ID card at any recharge kiosk, at the Help Zone or students can pay online. See UNSW IT Printing for students for charges.
