As artificial intelligence (AI) transforms how we learn, teach, and research, UNSW Library is here to guide you through this evolving landscape. We provide AI-powered discovery tools that integrate scholarly content and digital literacy skills to support staff and students to use AI confidently and ethically.

Smart searching with AI and digital literacy workshops

The Library has developed new content for in-faculty digital literacy workshops for students and HDR candidates that feature AI searching smarter strategies and ethical use of AI. Our workshops are offered throughout term and align with the Digital Information Skills Framework.

To organise a digital literacy workshop tailored to the faculty, staff can contact their Outreach Librarian.

AI discovery tools and scholarly content

A range of AI-enhanced scholarly discovery tools from journals, books and scholarly content are available through the Library, and is essential for research, educational and work integrated learning (WIL). Explore data tools and techniques including Text and Data mining (TDM), APIs and AI. Build confidence in using AI responsibly and connect with Library staff for tailored guidance.

All AI scholarly discovery tools offered by UNSW Library are assessed against the UNSW AI Assurance framework to ensure alignment with institutional standards.

Digital Knowledge Space

In a world of information overload and misinformation, UNSW Library has created a unique, transformative experience for students and staff. Located on Level 2 of the Main Library, the Digital Knowledge Space builds digital literacy and critical thinking skills to help users navigate the digital age with confidence.
