Opening hours

Essential maintenance work at Main Library - Term 3 2025

During Term 3, temporary closures impact some spaces on Levels 4, 6 and 7. Collection shelving bays may not be accessible. For more information see our news.

Members of the public, Library members, students and staff may access the Library during regular opening hours. Check each Library if extended hours are available for UNSW students and staff. You may need to show your UNSW ID or Library membership card.

Check each Library for our face-to-face service hours in the Help Zone. UNSW Library hours may change at short notice.

  • Online/Phone help and support are available Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm.

    Online/Phone services are closed on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

    The Library is closed from Tuesday 22 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027.

  • Law Library is open 24/7 for UNSW students and staff, except during University Shutdown period. To enter the Library outside regular opening hours, you need to swipe in at the Library's after hours entrance.
