UNSWorks has completed the migration to a new platform that showcases UNSW Sydney’s open publications, theses and datasets, and makes them globally accessible. Researchers’ work will have a wider reach free from paywalls with the potential of greater societal impact.

The new platform introduces a range of new and improved functionality including:

  • Amplified discoverability of UNSW publications including through all major search engines.
  • An improved, user-friendly upload process via ROS for publications and non-traditional research outputs and the ability to choose reuse conditions.
  • The ability to connect researchers with their publications, funding and data across the scholarly record using links and persistent identifiers.

This upgrade constitutes essential infrastructure for open research and innovation at UNSW, forming part of UNSW’s research data strategy 2020-2023. UNSWorks supports compliance with national funder open access mandates and meets the standards of international open access bodies.
