New space to study in Main Library

A new vibrant study space is open to students on Level 4 of Main Library. Designed with feedback from UNSW students, this large space has been transformed into a multipurpose study area. This space was previously used for the Library's microform collection. Now with a modern refresh, the design of the space brings a sense of the outdoors into the Library.
The refurbished Library space includes:
- height-adjustable individual desks
- collaborative tables with whiteboards and study booths for group work
- chill out areas with large modular sofas and reading chairs
- new carpet and feature lighting
- potted plants to enhance the indoor green space.
The new study space opened at the start of Term 1, 2024 and is already becoming popular among students. Access is available via Library stairs or lift.
