You may have noticed that our search looks a little different on the new UNSW Library website.
What has changed?
The single search lets you Search all things Library. You can find content across all of the Library’s collections of books, articles and other media, regardless of whether it is electronic or in print. Plus it also searches our entire website, making sure you can find everything you need at all times in the same place.
Even better, you can now find our search from wherever you are on the Library website. Just look for the search icon and you can access all the same features on every page of the website.
What is in the boxes?
The biggest change is how the search displays your results. For example, if you search for “copyright" you’ll find the results have been split into the Library collection, the Library website and Subject Guides.
- Library collection – These are the top results from items from our print and digital collections. Clicking see all results will take you to our complete Library collection, containing all the items from our print and digital collections.
- Library website – This gives you the most relevant results from the Research, Teaching and Study sections of our website. You will also find selections from our Help section. Find more results by clicking website and Help.
- Subject Guides – These are curated lists of key resources and databases in you discipline areas, and help you get started finding information on your topic
Searching the Library collection
If you just want to search the Library’s collection, simply click Library collection directly underneath the search entry field. You can also conduct an advanced search from there.
