UNSW student and staff can access most Library resources wherever you have internet access. Once you have authenticated, we recommend that you sign in to myLibrary for full access to UNSW Library subscriptions.
When you’re on campus and logged into the UNSW network, many databases and publishers will recognise that you’re on the UNSW network and give you access to content without you needing to authenticate with your username and password (zID and zPass).
If you’re off campus or not on the UNSW network (e.g. using home or hotel or café internet/wifi), databases and publishers won’t recognise that you're from UNSW and that you should have access. To remotely access the Library’s resources choose one of the following options:
Access Library resources using your own internet service provider and the Library’s search interface. You will be prompted to authenticate using your zID and password when accessing electronic resources. As long as you keep your browser open, you will remain logged in to Library resources. If you close your browser, you may be presented with the login page again.
