NAIDOC Week 2019 - UNSW Library featured collections

05/07/2019 - 2:18pm

The theme for NAIDOC Week 2019 is Voice, Treaty, Truth. 2019 is also the United Nations Year of Indigenous languages - 90% of Indigenous languages are endangered. UNSW Library has taken the opportunity to enhance our Library collection results to show items that include Indigenous language content such as Tiwi, Kamilaroi and Warlpiri. Highlighting our Indigenous language titles supports a shared heritage and a continued use of the first words spoken on this land.

You can explore our Australian Indigenous language collection online.

When you search the collection for any publications containing an Aboriginal language, you will see Australian Indigenous language as a new addition in the refinements section on the left-hand side.

We have also made available the resources listed in the UNSW Indigenous Strategy 2018. The Library has collected the books, films and related documents in an online collection called UNSW Indigenous Strategy - Recommended books & videos which you can access by signing in with your zID.
