ResBaz Sydney 2019 is coming to UNSW!

ResBaz Sydney is an annual festival and conference for the research community. This year UNSW will host a fun and diverse line up of workshops, talks, demonstrations, activities and social events over three days to showcase, share and inspire digital research practices.

Registrations for ResBaz will open in July. To stay up to date with the latest news and information please sign up to our mailing list through our website.

Who should attend?

Researchers at all levels from all disciplines should attend ResBaz. PhD and Research Masters students are especially encouraged to apply. Research Support Staff such as Software Engineers, Librarians who support researchers to do their job should also come along! ResBaz is particularly aimed at those new to digital research tools.

Program

This year ResBaz will feature both registered training workshops and an open festival running concurrently over the three days. There will be something for everyone at all levels of digital literacy - you can expect participative workshops on data management skills (Python, R, SQL), data carpentry led courses, data visualisation techniques, as well as engaging talks, showcases and social events.

NEW! Compute Day

This year, ResBaz Sydney will feature an additional day focused around topics in computing, on Friday the 13 September.

ResBaz Sydney is jointly organised by universities and research institutes in NSW. Involved are Macquarie University, University of NSW, Western Sydney University, University of Newcastle, University of Sydney, University of Wollongong, and Intersect.
