Depositing your thesis

N.B. Please submit using Internet Explorer or Firefox. Submission using either Chrome or Safari will result in an error message. Deposit a digital copy of your thesis via:
UNSWorks/ADT Deposit
N.B. Do not set the document's security.
Submit paper-bound copies of your thesis to the appropriate campus office of the Graduate Research School, who will forward it to the Library.

Apply to restrict access to your thesis

Contact UNSWorks/ADT support support to discuss restricting your thesis.

Submit your application to the Graduate Research School 6 months prior to submitting your thesis for examination

Restriction options:

  • no restrictions - world wide access (default)
  • restricted access globally for up to 24 months

You can restrict access to:

  • both the paper-bound and the digital copies of your thesis
  • either the paper-bound or digital copy only

Conditions of restriction

  • All restrictions, including restrictions of up to 24 months, must be approved by your supervisor and the Dean of Graduate Research
  • Applications for restrictions greater than 24 months should first contact the Dean of Graduate Research for approval before making your application. Visit the Graduate Research School website for further information
  • UNSW Library will also restrict access to third party copyright material in your thesis for which you have been unable to obtain written permission
