The tour identifies library services, collections and student facilities.

Help Zone

  - Library related enquiries
  - Ask about borrowing and renewing
  - Pick up interlibrary loans
  - Return chutes (including after hours) are located opposite the Help Zone
    near the entrance

Complex research assistance that includes:

  - Finding information related to a topic of study
  - Refining a search strategy
  - Discovering relevant sources for a research topic
  - Locating and retrieving information
  - Search on the library collection computer at the Help Zone

Renew and reserve

  - Renew loans online via myLibrary
  - Reserve items via Library Search then login to myLibrary to confirm your reservation
  - Return items during opening hours via return chutes inside the Library
  - Return items after hours via the return chute inside the Library's Student Lounge

Wayfinder Kiosk

  - Locate group study rooms, collections and computer areas
  - Find toilets, printers, lifts and stairs
  - Locate facilities, faculties and services for Kensington & Paddington campuses




Borrow and return

  - Borrow/return at the Help Zone or using the self-check machines
  - Loan periods vary, check website

High demand, two hour loan course materials and items reserved via Library Search.

High Use Collection:

  - Borrow High Use Collection items using the self-check machine in this area.
  - Return High Use Collection items in person via the self-check machine in this area
  - Late books will incur hourly fines


  - Collect and borrow books you have reserved using the self-check machine in this area
  - Return reserved items via the return chute located at the main entrance of the Library




Print/Copy Services

  - Photocopying, printing and scanning enquiries
  - Pay library fines here
  - Add credit to your UNSW ID card using your credit card
  - Colour and B&W print/copy/scanners are available throughout the Library




E-Pay Station

  - Add credit to your UNSW ID card using EFTPOS





  - Check computer availability display screens
  - Locate an available computer within the library
  - Bloomberg computer available in Computer Lounge
  - UNSW Wireless Network (UniWide) is available throughout the Library for use with personal devices




Group Study Rooms

  - Login to book a group study room
  - Rooms are available on this level
  - Borrow headphones, VGA and HDMI cables from Help Zone




Student Lounge

  - Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during session only
  - Monitored by an onsite security guard
  - Access after 10pm is by swipe access only
