Room bookings

Group study rooms and media are provided for the use of UNSW students for learning and research activities only. Requests for bookings for any other activity should be discussed with Library staff in the first instance. Use for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.

Group Study Rooms are intended for use by two or more people. Individuals occupying rooms may be asked to leave.

You can make four 1 hour Group Study Room or Media Booth bookings per calendar day.

Bookings can be made up to 14 days in advance. Four forward bookings can be made at any one time. Once one of your bookings expires, on the next calendar day you may make a new advanced booking.

Group study rooms are equipped with:

  • LCD screens
  • whiteboards
  • some rooms with projectors
  • some rooms with touch screens

Media booths are equipped with:

  • LCD screens
  • DVD and video players

To activate your booking

Proceed directly to the room at the beginning of your booked time with a copy of your room booking confirmation (available through myLibrary) and advise any occupants that the room has been reserved by you.

Conditions of use

Rooms must be left neat and tidy. Personal belongings left unattended in rooms may be removed.

Your booking becomes invalid if you do not take possession of the room within 15 minutes of the booking start time.
