Search the Catalogue or Sirius if you know the title of the journal you need.
Search the Catalogue by:
- journal title
- go to Refine my results to limit the search to Journals only
Tips for locating journals
- where available, the Catalogue will provide both the print and online holdings for that journal
- if an article is available online, there will be a link to the online journal
- if the Library only holds the print version, check to see if we hold the volume and issue you need
- to locate the print journal on Library shelves, note down the item number and location
How do I find other journal articles relevant to my topic?
Find a database that is relevant to your subject area
Databases index articles published in journals, magazines, newspapers, conference proceedings, and other sources. There are specialised databases for various subject areas.
Subject Guides provide a starting point, suggesting a range of databases and other resources in your subject area.
Locate the full text of a journal article
Some databases have links to the full text of articles, while others provide the citation and abstract only.
Where available click on the full text link, otherwise click on the SFX button that points you to where you can find
the full text.
